Our Story
Hi, I’m Lexie Engel, the owner of Glow Girl Tanning.
My love for spray tanning started long before Glow Girl existed. I’ve always loved the confidence a good tan can give you. When my husband and I moved back to his hometown of Goochland County, I quickly realized there were no local spray tanning options. So at six months pregnant, I decided to start one myself—crazy timing, I know, but it turned out to be the perfect moment to bring something new to our community.
Glow Girl was created to provide luxury, customized spray tans that look natural and are tailored to each client’s unique skin tone and tanning goals. I believe a great spray tan should never be one-size-fits-all, and my goal is to help every client leave feeling confident with a flawless glow.
I’m so grateful to serve the Goochland and Short Pump community and help you achieve your perfect glow. I always say that a spray tan may not change your life, but it will certainly change how you walk in a room. I love that I get to give so many people the confidence they need to look and feel their best.

At Glow Girl Tanning, every spray tan is a luxury, all-inclusive experience. There are no hidden fees or add-on services—everything you need for the best possible results is included with every appointment. From personalized pre-tan consultation and preparation to post-tan care instructions, prep spray, post-hydration spray, drying powder for added comfort, and disposable garments and accessories if needed, every detail is thoughtfully provided.
Each spray tan is fully customized to your unique skin tone, undertones, and desired level of color to create a natural, flawless glow that complements your complexion and develops beautifully.
For your convenience, you can choose between our mobile spray tanning service, where we bring the entire setup to your home or preferred location, or visit our cozy home studio in Goochland County for a relaxing appointment. No matter which option you choose, you'll receive the same personalized, high-quality experience designed to leave you feeling confident, radiant, and glowing.

Located in Goochland County right off the Gum Spring exit - I offer the option for clients to come to me for their spray tan in the comfort of my home. I know that while mobile appointments are convenient, sometimes it’s nice to get out of the house and take a little time for yourself.
These appointments take place at my home studio. Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation with the exact address and location details.

Your wedding glow deserves a little extra attention! Our Bridal Package includes 3 custom spray tans for $165, giving us the opportunity to perfect your color before your big day.
During your trial tans, we'll experiment with different solutions, depths of color, and timing to find the exact look you're dreaming of. By the time your wedding arrives, you'll feel completely confident knowing your tan is flawless, natural-looking, and photo-ready.
We would also love to tan your entire wedding party! Whether you'd like to make it a fun pre-wedding event with one of our mobile spray tanning appointments, or have your bridesmaids, family members, and friends come see us individually, we're happy to accommodate whatever works best for your group.
